Job Description: Global Trade Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring our company adheres to all international trade regulations and customs requirements. You will be responsible for analyzing trade data, classifying products, and supporting global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing processes, and costed components to assess substantial transformation and tariff shift rules.
- Classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure alignment with Country of Origin (COO) determinations.
- Support preferential and non-preferential origin determinations and issue or validate Certificates of Origin.
- Maintain and audit origin documentation, supplier affidavits, and long-term supplier declarations.
- Partner with sourcing, engineering, procurement, and suppliers to gather accurate manufacturing and origin data.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs valuation, marking, and labeling requirements.
- Monitor changes in global trade regulations and assess impact to COO, duty exposure, and supply chain strategy.
- Support customs audits, prior disclosures, and internal compliance reviews.
- Manage duty savings initiatives including Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification, duty drawback, and tariff mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance on COO and trade compliance to internal stakeholders and global partners.
- Maintain trade compliance systems and databases to ensure accurate reporting and traceability.
- Resolve customs issues related to origin disputes, verifications, or requests for information (CF28/CF29).
- Prepare reports and metrics related to trade compliance, COO accuracy, and operational performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in global trade compliance, customs, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Country of Origin (COO) principles.
- Experience with import/export regulations and customs valuation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field is preferred.

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
