Role: Senior Reinsurance Business Systems Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reinsurance Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in the reinsurance domain to join our team. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, leading analysis and solution design, and ensuring the quality delivery of reinsurance processes and system enhancements.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Reinsurance Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of Treaty, Facultative, Proportional & Non-Proportional reinsurance.
- Requirements Management: Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, BRD/FSD creation, process flows, and gap analysis.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and validating premium/claims/bordereaux data.
- Reinsurance Accounting: Strong understanding of ceded premium, loss recoverable, and statements of accounts.
- Testing: Experience with UAT/SIT, including test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.
- Systems Familiarity: Experience with reinsurance systems (e.g., SAP FS RI, SAPIENS SRM Genius) and upstream/downstream integrations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into functional/technical specifications.
- Lead analysis and solution design for reinsurance processes, system enhancements, and Business As Usual (BAU) items.
- Perform detailed data validation, mapping, and root-cause analysis for premium/claims movements.
- Prepare process documents, workflows, and functional artifacts; facilitate requirement walkthroughs.
- Coordinate SIT/UAT cycles, ensuring quality delivery and traceability from requirements to test results.
- Act as a liaison between business, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Generic Managerial Skills:
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder management across business, IT, and leadership groups.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize tasks, and deliver within timelines.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and support knowledge transfer.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and backlog management.
This is an onsite contract position based in Jersey City, NJ, Parsippany, NJ, or New York, NY. We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical background and deep knowledge of the reinsurance industry.

Salary: $110,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
