Job Title: AS400 Developer/RPG Developer

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with strong RPG programming skills to join our team. This is an on-site position located in Carmel, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using RPG (RPGLE/ILE), CL, and DB2/400.
  • Support business operations by ensuring the stability and performance of AS400 systems.
  • Modernize legacy applications to improve efficiency and compatibility.
  • Integrate IBM i systems with other enterprise platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS400 applications and databases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an AS400 Developer (IBM iSeries Developer / RPG Developer).
  • Proficiency in RPG (RPGLE/ILE), CL, and DB2/400.
  • Experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
  • Strong understanding of AS400 architecture and functionalities.
  • Experience with application modernization and integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:

  • This is an on-site position in Carmel, IN.
  • The pay rate is $45-50 per hour.
