Job Description

The Morgan Stanley SharePoint Engineering team is responsible for the build of the SharePoint platform On-prem and cloud for firmwide collaboration as well as application hosting & development. Besides providing platform expertise, we offer economies of scale and ease of management by creating management & SDLC tools, APIs and other services for easy deployment of critical applications. A lot of our work involves enhancing the vendor offering, filling gaps and influencing the future roadmap of the product with the vendor.

We are looking for an Office 365 SharePoint migration engineer to design and implement company’s Office 365 Document management governance best practices. The role would also entail working with clients to onboard them to the Office 365 platform as well as working with third party vendors and internal groups (Desktop Engineering , Azure and Office 365 engineering and more) to deliver a strategic governance solution.

Job demands development and integration of custom tools and therefore candidate must be hands on with development targeting cloud. The candidate will also be working on integration of several Office 365 services SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Planner, Microsoft Information protection (MIP).

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core and React.js or Angular.
  • Communicate effectively with MD and ED level stakeholders.
  • Independently pick up projects and deliver on time.
  • Utilize SharePoint knowledge, OneDrive, and be a hands-on developer.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint, OneDrive, and Office 365.
  • Collaborate with end-users and business owners to create and update SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, pages, apps, forms, and workflows.
  • Provide training to end-users on basic SharePoint tasks and conduct training sessions.
  • Demo SharePoint features and provide specialized consulting services for out-of-the-box features.
  • Research and suggest the use of new features and their implementation on the new platform.
  • Reorganize and restructure the contents of the site.
  • Train users on how certain existing features might have changed in the new platform.

Required Skills:

  • Strong C#, ASP.Net & PowerShell skills.
  • Strong understanding of Modern Authentication, Graph API, Azure AD Application.
  • Understand and implement SharePoint site and group site permissions.
  • OneDrive Account, Site, and Permissions Management.
  • Strong OneDrive, SharePoint and OD sync client troubleshooting experience (Desktop client, Web, Mobile app).
  • Use JavaScript, jQuery, Boot Strap, HTML and CSS to create and update pages, components, and scripts.
  • Ability to develop applications and system tools to implement, deploy and manage infrastructure systems on premise and in the cloud.
  • Experience with Github, Jira and other continuous integration technology and SDLC agile development techniques.
  • Strong SharePoint fundamentals including lists, document libraries, permissions, content types, workflows.
  • Excellent understanding of Single Sign On technologies (Ping Federate, SAML, Windows Kerberos).
  • Experience with Office 365 (SharePoint Online and OneDrive) application development, management & deployment.
  • Understand Exchange Online, user profiles, features, and mail flow.
  • Maintain and support all of SharePoint, OneDrive and Office 365.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodology.
  • Troubleshooting Experience on-prem/online, networking (wireshark,etc), Microsoft Information protection(MIP).
  • Ability to track issues, resolve them, and escalate to core engineering or Microsoft support as needed.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SQL programming.
  • Understanding of other services in Office365 products such as Unified Groups/Teams/PowerApps/PowerAutomate.s

Special Requirements

Mandatory: Financial domain. Note: EX- Morgan Stanley is a big plus. Hybrid work model (3 days a week). Interview modes and screening steps not specified.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Alpharetta, GA
