Job Summary

We are seeking a strong Senior Data Engineer with expertise in PySpark and SQL to join our team. This role will focus on cloud migration projects, leveraging Databricks and Snowflake on either Azure or AWS platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering and data migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines using PySpark and SQL.
  • Lead and execute cloud migration initiatives, moving data and workloads to Azure or AWS.
  • Utilize Databricks for data processing and analytics.
  • Work with Snowflake for data warehousing solutions.
  • Optimize data models and query performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing.

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark for big data processing.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
  • Experience with cloud platforms: Azure or AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks.
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions, specifically Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of data migration strategies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience in cloud migration projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
