Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support critical initiatives across mobile applications, payment platforms, fraud/risk systems, and point-of-sale (POS) ecosystems. This role is essential for bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions, ensuring the development and implementation of seamless, secure, and scalable digital transaction experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payments, fintech, or banking systems, with a deep understanding of the payment lifecycle and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business requirements for mobile applications, payment platforms, fraud/risk systems, and POS systems.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical requirements for development teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support initiatives related to the payment lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, and settlement.
- Analyze and document fraud/risk systems and transaction monitoring processes.
- Understand and document POS systems and retail integrations.
- Analyze and document mobile app ecosystems and API integrations.
- Utilize SQL for data analysis and to support business insights.
- Document APIs, particularly REST/JSON specifications.
- Work within Agile development environments, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Participate in testing phases, including UAT, to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Business Analyst.
- Strong experience in payments, fintech, or banking systems.
- Knowledge of the payment lifecycle (authorization, clearing, settlement).
- Understanding of fraud/risk systems and transaction monitoring.
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail integrations.
- Experience with mobile app ecosystems and APIs.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis.
- Experience with API documentation (REST/JSON).
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
