Role: Fortinet Architect L3 SME

Act as the technical authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Fortinet-based security and networking solutions across enterprise and telecom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design enterprise-grade network security, SD WAN, and SASE architectures for on-prem, cloud (AWS/Azure), and hybrid environments.
• Define target-state architectures, migration strategies, and transformation roadmaps aligned with business and security requirements.
• Lead the implementation, configuration, optimization, and lifecycle management of Fortinet solutions.
• Deploy and manage FortiGate NGFW, Secure SD WAN, VPN, and SASE solutions.
• Provide L3/L4 escalation support for complex incidents, performance degradation, and security events.
• Drive standardization, hardening, and adoption of best practices across Fortinet environments.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security, risk, and compliance frameworks, including Zero Trust, segmentation, and secure access models.
• Integrate Fortinet platforms with SOC, SIEM, SOAR, and security operations workflows.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to customers during solution design reviews, technical workshops, and governance forums.
• Support pre-sales activities, including RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture, and effort estimation.
• Collaborate with OEMs, service providers, architects, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution outcomes.
• Create and maintain high- and low-level design documents, runbooks, SOPs, and implementation guides.
• Contribute to knowledge repositories, training materials, and enablement for operations and delivery teams.

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Configure and manage FortiGate NGFW features including firewall policies, NAT, IPS, antivirus, and web filtering.
• Design and operate Fortinet Secure SD WAN architectures including hub and spoke, DIA, MPLS, and LTE/5G connectivity.
• Implement Fortinet Security Fabric integrations across network and security domains.
• Design and support VPN technologies including IPSec and SSL VPN.
• Administer and operate FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer platforms.
• Apply strong routing and switching knowledge including BGP, OSPF, and VLAN design.
• Apply enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networking fundamentals.
• Support Fortinet integrations with AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Apply experience with cloud-delivered security models and SASE architectures.
• Extensive hands-on experience supporting large enterprise, telecom, and multi-geo network environments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
