Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of SQL Server environments, as well as translating business needs into robust SQL solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and supporting critical public safety applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server versions 2012 to 2025.
- Translate business requirements into industry-standard SQL solutions.
- Design, install, and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions on Windows Clustered Environments supporting Failover clustered SQL Server instances.
- Perform SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization.
- Support Critical Public Safety Applications for Government Agencies hosted on a SQL Server database environment (e.g., working with Dept of Corrections, Division of Criminal Justice, or Homeland Security, or Police Depts).
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Service and PowerBI Server, including scaled-out deployment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 2012 to 2025 packages and connectivity issues.
- Work with scripting tools like T-SQL or Power.
- Provide support for Azure or Azure SQL environments.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure database integrity and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 84 months of experience with SQL Server versions 2012 to 2025 installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- 84 months of experience translating business needs into industry-standard SQL solutions.
- 84 months of experience in designing/installing and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions on Windows Clustered Environment supporting Failover clustered SQL Server instances.
- 84 months of experience in SQL Server Performance Tuning and Optimization.
- 84 months of experience working and supporting Critical Public Safety Applications for Government Agencies hosted on a SQL Server database environment.
- 84 months of experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server Reporting Service and PowerBI Server.
- 84 months of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting SQL Server Integration Services 2012 to 2025 packages and connectivity issues.
- 84 months of experience in working with scripting tools like T-SQL or Power.
- 36 months of experience with Azure or Azure SQL.
Additional Information:
- Duration: 30 Months
- Location: Albany, NY (2-3 days remote every week)
- Candidates must share 3 references and a copy of their Visa for submission.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
