Role: Data Architect
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect with a strong background in Data Architecture, Modeling, and Analytics, coupled with a Development background. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and proficiency in key technologies such as Erwin, PL/SQL, Oracle, and Python. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in database design, ETL processes, and performance optimization. Familiarity with telecom-specific data systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data models using Erwin to meet evolving business requirements.
- Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL scripts and Oracle-based solutions to ensure efficient data processing.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate intricate business needs into robust and effective data architectures.
- Lead the development of data pipelines, integration strategies, and data migration initiatives.
- Ensure the highest standards of data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to derive actionable insights that support critical business decision-making.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in adopting best practices for data architecture, particularly within the telecom domain.
- This is a hands-on role requiring active participation in data modeling, coding, and troubleshooting complex data issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of comprehensive experience in data architecture, modeling, and analytics.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Erwin, PL/SQL, Oracle, and Python.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Expertise in database design, ETL processes, and performance optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with telecom-specific data systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:
Data Modeling and Design
- Develop and implement normalized OLTP data models to support transactional systems.
- Design efficient database schemas, including tables, relationships, and constraints, ensuring data integrity.
- Create and maintain data model policies and procedures for functional design and governance.
Performance Optimization
- Ensure the high performance, scalability, and reliability of the OLTP system.
- Address and resolve data-related problems concerning systems integration and compatibility.
- Implement strategies for data capacity planning and ensure system scalability to meet future demands.
Data Quality and Governance
- Establish robust methods for tracking data quality, completeness, and redundancy across systems.
- Implement comprehensive data governance frameworks and stewardship processes.
- Ensure data security and compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with project leads, consultants, and business unit leaders on data-related projects.
- Communicate effectively with customers and project teams, escalating issues promptly when necessary.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced data modeling techniques for OLTP systems.
- Proficiency with Oracle and other relational databases.
- Extensive experience in database design and implementation.
Data Management:
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Ability to ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the data landscape.
Functional Skills:
- Experience in the Mobile domain is highly desirable.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule, with 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week working from home. The role is located in the St. Louis, MO area.
Employment Type:
This is a contract role with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment after 3 months. Candidates must be eligible to work on a W2 or C2C basis.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $65 per year
