Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled .Net Technical Lead Developer to join our team in Omaha, NE. This is a hybrid role with significant potential for permanent conversion after an initial contract period. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in .NET development, application architecture, and leading development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of all software and related artifacts at Mosaic, including API integrations, .NET/React native applications, modernization of legacy scripting (perl/python/php), and testing automation.
  • Facilitate data integration requirements using APIs and custom solutions.
  • Provide oversight of functional .Net applications while also being directly involved with .NET application coding, system debugging, code reviewing, and the development of operational procedures.
  • Ensure the software development team produces scalable and functional applications that meet Mosaic’s specifications.
  • Create and maintain applications to support business functions using .NET and React native.
  • Maintain middleware functions to support data interfaces from on-prem, cloud, and SaaS data sources.
  • Participate in an Agile SDLC.
  • Implement tools and practices to prevent security breaches and other exposures.
  • Lead root cause analysis for production errors and recommend fixes for code, application design, and architecture.
  • Facilitate code reviews, product rollouts, fixes, and updates as needed.
  • Contribute to establishing naming conventions, development standards, branching and merging of code, and standard operating procedures for the development team.
  • Develop and maintain a technical roadmap to take advantage of technology features introduced in new releases.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the development team on an as-needed basis to help them develop technical skills and best practices.
  • Meet with customers and the project team to determine application requirements.
  • Review requirements to estimate development work effort.
  • Analyze system requirements and development tasks.
  • Develop technical specifications.
  • Make recommendations on application development, design, and architecture.
  • Write secure and scalable code for .NET software applications.
  • Review and debug .NET applications.
  • Deploy functional websites, programs, and applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience building applications with modern web technologies.
  • 8 years of .Net experience.
  • Experience with strictly regulated fields is preferred (e.g. HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, etc).
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and make recommendations.
  • Ability to design solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ability to build strategy.
  • Ability to mentor other developers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a .Net developer.
  • Experience with strictly regulated fields is preferred (e.g. HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, etc).

Employment Type:

Contract to hire. The initial contract duration is 3 months, with potential to go permanent.

Work Schedule:

Hybrid: In-person on Mondays and Wednesdays; Remote on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Location Details:

Candidates should ideally be local to Omaha, NE, or willing to relocate. The role requires in-person presence on specific days.


Special Requirements

Hybrid role (In Person Monday and Wednesday Required, Remote Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). Needs to US citizen or GC holder. NO Immigration/Sponsorship, now or future. Can reside in any state EXCEPT Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Montana and Washington. Contract to hire.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Omaha, NE
