Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Database Administrator / Architect to design, implement, and manage cloud-based database solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure SQL technologies, cloud database architecture, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions on Azure
  • Administer and manage Azure SQL Managed Instances and Azure SQL Databases
  • Architect cloud database solutions aligned with business and technical requirements
  • Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place
  • Implement and manage database security, access controls, and compliance standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in cloud environments
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for production databases

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a Database Administrator/Architect
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Azure SQL Managed Instances
    • Azure SQL Database
  • Expertise in cloud database architecture and design
  • Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of security configuration and best practices
  • Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem to Azure migrations

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
