Job Description: GIS Tester (ArcGIS)

We are seeking an experienced GIS Tester with a strong background in GIS application testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Pro, and ArcMap, and will be responsible for testing various GIS applications across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive testing of GIS applications, including web, desktop, and mobile.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing cycles.
  • Utilize test automation tools like Selenium for efficient testing.
  • Track and manage defects using tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within GIS applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve identified issues.
  • Ensure the quality and functionality of GIS software releases.
  • Document test results and provide detailed reports.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in GIS application testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), ArcGIS Pro, and ArcMap.
  • Experience testing GIS Web, Desktop, and Mobile applications.
  • Experience with test automation tools like Selenium (preferred).
  • Ability to create test plans, test cases, and execute testing cycles.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for GIS applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of GE Smallworld is a plus.
  • Exposure to AWS cloud environment is desirable.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60,000 – $110,000 per year
