About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform / Dynamics 365 Lead to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade solutions. This role involves hands-on development, mentoring team members, and collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Delivery (60%):

  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and document solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Deliver high-quality applications within agreed timelines and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and document results.
  • Implement best practices for: Naming conventions, Environment strategies, Security, Application lifecycle management (ALM).
  • Ensure applications and integrations are: High-performing, Secure, Reliable with strong data integrity.
  • Manage deployments across environments with proper: Change control, Documentation, Rollback procedures.
  • Create technical documentation for ongoing application support.

Mentorship & Guidance (20%):

  • Mentor DPOR staff on Power Platform and D365 development.
  • Provide technical consultation on: Solution design, Governance standards, Best practices.
  • Deliver training and guidance to internal teams.

Collaboration & Documentation (10%):

  • Work closely with business users and IT leads to gather and define requirements.
  • Develop detailed documentation including: User guides, Workflow diagrams, Training materials, Operational support manuals.

Environment Management & Coordination (10%):

  • Coordinate with Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) for environment provisioning.
  • Ensure applications are: Secure, Performant, Properly monitored.
  • Validate: Data security, Backup and recovery processes, Disaster recovery compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Experience with solution architecture, integrations, and ALM.
  • Solid understanding of: Security models, Data governance, Environment strategies.
  • Experience mentoring or leading development teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with government clients or public sector.
  • Familiarity with enterprise environment management and VITA-like agencies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices within Power Platform.

USC or GC only, Onsite interview required, Local candidates to Richmond, VA preferred


Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per year
