Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Appian Architect to design and lead scalable, high-performance Appian solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Appian architecture, development best practices, and system integrations, along with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, design, and document high-level Appian architecture solutions ensuring scalability, performance, and security
- Provide technical leadership and mentor development teams on Appian best practices
- Design and develop applications using Appian SAIL, process models, records, reports, and smart services
- Architect and implement integrations with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, enterprise platforms)
- Conduct code reviews and enforce Appian development standards and governance
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform performance tuning and optimization using Appian Health Check, logs, and monitoring tools
- Support and implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Appian applications
- Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and participate in sprint ceremonies
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years in Appian
- Strong expertise in: Appian SAIL (UI design), Process Modeling, Data Modeling, Records & Reports, Smart Services
- Experience in enterprise application integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
- Strong understanding of database integrations and data architecture
- Proven experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Appian Certified Lead Developer or Senior Developer Certification (Highly Preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks
- Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
