Project Overview:

This project is to provide DWD (Division of Workforce Development) a unified front-end development approach across the agency spanning multiple technologies and applications.

Only candidates located in Indiana will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the structure to ensure responsive design, accessibility and usability of the internal and external applications.
  • Support UI/UX design for existing DWD systems.
  • Graphic Design and mockups.
  • Support existing custom applications written in a mixture of .NET and other technologies.
  • Proactively approach new technologies, systems, and design patterns.
  • Work with business, other IT teams, and other agencies to define and enhance new solutions.
  • Enhance existing applications within an agile environment.
  • Exhibit a mixture of soft and hard skills necessary for success in this position.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 Years of experience as a front-end developer.
  • 3 Years of experience with CSS, Mockups, Agile development methodologies, CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, etc), Mobile-first design principles, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Portfolio or GitHub showcasing projects.

Nice to have Skills:

  • Experience in AI
  • Javascript
  • Dynamics 365
  • Java Spring Framework
  • Git/GitHub or similar tools
  • Squiz
  • User Journey Mapping

Additional Requirements:

  • Selected candidate will be required to work full-time onsite in Indianapolis.
  • This is a contract-to-hire opportunity after 6-12 months, working 37.5 hours per week. Candidates presented must be eligible for full-time hire without requiring sponsorship.
  • Initial interview will be via Teams with the final interview being in-person.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Indianapolis, IN
