Job Title: Curam Reports Developer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft Azure Synapse developer to provide business and system analysis, modeling, design, developing, and maintaining Medicaid reporting solutions and semantic models. This role will work closely with the internal business team and Medicaid team to develop new reports and maintain the reporting code for some of the enhancements based on the backlog of change requests from the business and help fix some of the defects from the backlog as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide business and system analysis, modeling, design, development, and maintenance of Medicaid reporting solutions and semantic models.
- Develop new reports and maintain existing reporting code for enhancements.
- Address defects from the backlog.
- Collaborate closely with internal business and Medicaid teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
Core Technical Skills:
- Oracle PL/SQL: 5+ years of experience in programming and design of large-scale web-based distributed systems.
- Databases: Strong understanding of relational databases (tables, views, indexes, table spaces, users, grants).
- Data Warehousing: Strong experience in designing, building, and managing data warehouses.
- ETL Tools: Experience with Oracle Utilities, ETL tools such as Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- SQL Scripting: 5+ years of experience with SQL scripting and Relational Database modeling.
- Structured Methodologies: 5+ years of experience with structured system development methodologies.
- Business Intelligence Tools: 2+ years of experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects or BIRT (preferred).
- Data Warehouse Experience: 2+ years of experience with Data Warehouse concepts (preferred).
- Curam Product: 4+ years of experience with the Curam product.
- Strong SQL Skills: 2+ years of experience demonstrating strong SQL capabilities.
Cloud and Reporting Technologies:
- Azure Synapse Analytics: Strong working knowledge of building data analytics solutions using Azure Synapse serverless SQL pools. Demonstrated experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, including Synapse pipelines, SQL pools, and Spark pools.
- Python/PySpark/SparkSQL: 1-2 years of experience utilizing Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL on Azure Cloud.
- Power BI: Experience configuring, designing, developing, and testing dashboards using Power BI.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to develop relationships and partnerships with customers by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency.
- Ability to independently identify options and solutions.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.
- Lead and mentor other reporting developers in data integration efforts, utilizing ETL design patterns, error handling, and configurations.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
