Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with a strong background in automation, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will lead QA efforts, mentor junior testers, and ensure the quality and performance of our client’s critical systems. This role involves working with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment and requires hands-on experience with modern testing tools and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA strategy and implement best practices for enterprise applications, focusing on Payments, CRM, and potentially Finance/Public Pension systems.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright (Python) and Pytest for UI, API, and cross-browser testing.
- Automate REST API testing using tools like REST Assured or similar.
- Execute performance and load tests using tools such as Locust, JMeter, or LoadRunner to ensure application scalability and stability.
- Validate data integrity across various systems using complex SQL queries, including joins, multi-table queries, and CTEs.
- Maintain and enhance existing test scripts, potentially including legacy scripts in UFT/VBScript.
- Integrate automated tests seamlessly into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders within Agile teams.
- Perform comprehensive security and compliance testing, adhering to standards like PCI DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Ensure applications meet accessibility and usability compliance requirements, including conducting manual and automated accessibility evaluations.
- Manage test cases, test execution, and reporting using Azure Test Plans or equivalent tools.
- Create and maintain essential test documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Oversee the setup and configuration of test environments and manage test data effectively.
Technical Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a significant focus on automation and performance testing.
- Strong proficiency in Python for automation framework development and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (Python or JavaScript) for UI, API, and cross-browser testing.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Playwright API, or pytest frameworks.
- Proven experience testing cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, and Azure SQL/Dataverse.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, CE, CRM, etc.).
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and complex query writing.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with test reporting tools like Allure.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Knowledge of security standards (PCI DSS, GDPR) and accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
- Familiarity with assistive technologies such as JAWS and NVDA.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in Finance, public pension, or retirement systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Dynamics 365, Python, SQL, Agile).
- Knowledge of C#/.NET/Java.
- Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Experience with other test management tools.
- Familiarity with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $75 per year (Estimated)
