Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Product Owner with expertise in card payments and banking to join our team in Riverwoods, IL. This is a full-time or contract position with a duration of 6-12 months, requiring 5 days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payment systems, including settlement, networks, and possess technical know-how of Mainframe & AWS stack.

Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements and Backlog Management: Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to gather and define requirements, translate them into user stories, and maintain the product backlog.
- Agile Facilitation: Actively participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure team alignment and efficient delivery.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding product goals and progress.
- Payments Expertise: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of payment systems, including processes, regulations, and market trends, to identify opportunities and ensure compliance. Specifically focus on Payment Settlements and possess technical know-how of Mainframe & AWS stack.
- Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze complex data and business processes to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Testing and Validation: Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review sprint results, and gather feedback to validate that the delivered solution meets business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role, preferably within the financial services or payments industry.
- Demonstrated experience with card payments, specifically in Settlement and/or networks.
- Strong technical understanding and know-how of Mainframe & AWS stack.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex information and translate it into actionable user stories.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

- This position is based in Riverwoods, IL, and requires 5 days a week in the office. Local candidates are preferred.
