Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Test Engineer for a 1-year contract position based in Lansing, MI. This is a hybrid role, requiring candidates to be located within 1 hour of Lansing, MI, at the time of submission. The position involves F2F interviews and requires local candidates with Driver’s License (DL) proof.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Python.
- Write efficient and maintainable test scripts for UI and API testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Perform end-to-end UI automation testing using Playwright (Python or JavaScript).
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Playwright API.
- Test Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (Finance & Operations, CE, CRM) and related integrations.
- Test cloud-based solutions deployed on Microsoft Azure, including Azure DevOps pipelines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Key Vault, Azure SQL, and Dataverse.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of testing processes.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of software releases.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and automated testing.
- Strong proficiency in Python for test automation framework development, script writing, and CI/CD integration.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (Python or JavaScript) for UI and API automation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, CE, CRM, or related modules).
- Experience testing cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure (Azure DevOps, App Services, Functions, Key Vault, SQL/Dataverse).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Playwright API, pytest + requests).
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Understanding of user interface, information technology, and containerization concepts.
