Job Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineering Lead to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a hybrid role with a duration of 6+ months, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals. The lead will be responsible for enabling the reliable collection, management, and accessibility of field-generated data that supports R&D product development and engineering validation. You will work closely with design engineers and analytics engineers to ensure field data is accurately captured, organized, and made available for engineering analysis and decision-making, including future AI-enabled workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the data engineering efforts for R&D product development and engineering validation.
- Work closely with design engineers and analytics engineers to ensure accurate data capture and organization.
- Develop and manage systems for collecting, storing, and accessing field-generated data.
- Ensure data is readily available for engineering analysis and decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of future AI-enabled workflows using collected data.
- Implement and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong leadership and initiative.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Solid experience in Data Engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Ability to source data from lab systems.
- Experience in R&D environments, particularly with medical devices, automobiles, or phones.
Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech degree or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation & Location
