Role Description: Senior Data Engineer
This is a critical role for a Senior Data Engineer requiring a strong hands-on background in Azure Databricks, Python, Apache Spark/PySpark, and strong SQL. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise data solutions using Azure, Databricks, Spark, and Python. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing Spark/PySpark pipelines, handling skew, partitioning, and performance tuning. The role also involves developing Delta Lake data models for analytics and operations, and managing Databricks clusters, jobs, and pipelines.
The Senior Data Engineer will implement CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows, provision infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), and troubleshoot and enhance data pipeline reliability and performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and contribution to data strategy and architecture are essential. The candidate will also create technical documentation and architecture diagrams, and mentor junior team members.
Experience with Delta Live Tables (DLT)/Databricks SQL, CI/CD (GitHub, GitHub Actions), Terraform, and orchestration/serverless technologies (e.g., Azure Functions) is required. Familiarity with data governance tools like Purview or Unity Catalog is also expected. A strong understanding of SDLC and modern data engineering practices is crucial.
Team & Soft Skills:
The team consists of approximately 10 members working in an Agile environment with peer programming. The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Compensation & Location
