About the Role:
Sierra Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist for a remote contract position. This role requires extensive experience in data science and specific technical skills to drive insights and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms.
- Utilize BigQuery and Apache Iceberg for data warehousing and analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Potentially work with Dataform and Pub/Sub for data pipeline management and real-time data processing.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 12+ Years of overall experience.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery is required.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Iceberg is required.
- Strong understanding of data science principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with data visualization tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Dataform.
- Experience with Pub/Sub.
