Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to rigorously test technical solutions, identifying and flagging bugs, usability issues, and any other defects before they reach end-users. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Trenton, NJ.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a quality champion, empowering teams to build high-performing and resilient systems through both automated and manual testing.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to identify and report issues, ensuring thorough testing of all features.
  • Efficiently cover system functionality using automated and manual testing techniques.
  • Partner with development teams to pinpoint key risk areas in new solutions.
  • Communicate detailed defect information to the development team and assist the IT Product Manager in prioritizing defects.
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, providing clarifications and problem-solving with the team.
  • Strive for automation and maintain comprehensive test suites with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Execute tests in production environments post-deployment to verify quality.
  • Understand the product vision and work with the Business Analyst and IT Product Manager to translate it into effective tests.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and standards in software testing.
  • Promote teamwork and communication to foster an interactive, cooperative, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment.
  • Complete annual and semiannual self-assessments as required.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5 years of experience with Manual acceptance testing, Exploratory testing, and Creative testing.
  • 5 years of experience implementing automated end-to-end tests using frameworks and tools such as Selenium or similar automated testing tools.
  • 5 years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 4 years of strong experience testing using Agile Methodologies and participation in agile ceremonies.
  • 4 years of experience running tests in production environments after deployment.
  • 4 years of experience collaborating with Development Teams.
  • 4 years of experience with any Project Management tool such as MS DevOps or Jira.
  • 4 years of experience with JavaScript.
  • Bachelors degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze software systems and identify existing/potential issues.
  • Ability to develop integration, performance, and load-bearing tests.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently under time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact diplomatically with business professionals and staff.
  • Demonstrates respectful behavior and promotes teamwork and communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to process complex information and clearly communicate test results, issues, and recommendations.
  • Willingness to present contrarian views in team settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience as a tester on cross-functional agile teams.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to perform essential job functions consistent with ADA and other standards.
  • Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional movement.
  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $87,360 – $91,520 per year (Estimated)

Location: Trenton, NJ
