Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead ad-hoc and strategic analytics projects across our Operations, Customer Success, Clinical, and Finance teams. This role is crucial for driving business insights and optimizing key performance indicators within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead ad-hoc and strategic analytics projects across Operations, Customer Success, Clinical, and Finance teams.
  • Perform investigative analysis, reporting, and generate actionable recommendations to improve business outcomes.
  • Partner with operations teams to reduce unnecessary utilization and optimize total cost of care (TCOC) and medical loss ratio (MLR).
  • Deliver consistent and reliable analytics insights and reporting to clients, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Define, track, and report on critical KPIs, including:
    • Member engagement
    • Utilization outcomes
    • Field team efficiency
    • Workflow adherence
    • Process metrics
    • Home visit scheduling and execution
    • Call center operations
  • Extract, clean, analyze, and summarize data to create both ad-hoc and recurring reports.
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, and Excel for comprehensive data analysis and visualization.
  • Develop hypotheses and conduct iterative analytical problem-solving to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Build internal and client-facing reports and dashboards to effectively communicate findings.
  • Clearly communicate insights and business implications to stakeholders at various levels.
  • Promote data literacy by educating stakeholders on reports and data usage best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams and work independently when required.
  • Manage projects with increasing complexity and demonstrate leadership capability.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity in all analytical outputs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (BS/BA) in a STEM or quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Healthcare-related fields).
  • 13 years of experience working with data, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong ability to query databases and understand data structures (tables, views).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis using SQL, Python, and/or R (or equivalent academic experience).
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a quantitative or healthcare-related field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, MS, MPH, MBA).
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of medical coding systems.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to drive data-informed strategies within our organization.

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: McLean, VA
