Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mainframe Developer to join our team. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining critical mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM mainframes and related technologies, with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience. This is an onsite position requiring a self-starter with exceptional initiative and a willingness to go the extra mile to support the team and expand their skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Assist Quality Assurance teams in testing applications to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Conduct peer reviews of code and technical documents for other team members, fostering a collaborative development environment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely resolution of application failures and critical issues.
- Assist in research and issue resolution for the processing of business data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identify and resolve issues (including on-call issues and performance bottlenecks), and coordinate with respective support teams to resolve software and hardware problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of mainframe applications.
Technical Skills Required:
- Extensive experience with IBM mainframes.
- Proficiency in COBOL, IMS DB, DB2, JCL, MQ Series, and Xpeditor.
- Strong testing experience, including unit, integration, and contract testing.
- Demonstrated quick learning ability and adaptability to new technologies and processes.
- Good working knowledge of Spring Boot and Git.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
