Job Title: EDI Senior Technical Lead – Sterling Integrator

We are looking for an experienced EDI Senior Technical Lead with expertise in IBM Sterling Integrator to join our team. This is a remote contract position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IBM ITX and IBM Sterling, with a strong understanding of EDI X12 standards and healthcare payer domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex IBM ITX maps, message flows, and transformation rules.
  • Optimize existing ITX solutions for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Integrate ITX solutions with internal and external systems, clearinghouses, and partner platforms.
  • Troubleshoot ITX transformation failures, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
  • Ensure deep understanding and application of EDI X12 standards, schemas, loops, segments, and compliance rules.
  • Ensure deep understanding of EDI transactions including 837, 835, 834, 820, 270/271, 276/277.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with business teams to translate payer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work closely with solution architects to define mapping strategies and end-to-end integration flows.
  • Support migration and modernization efforts, including upgrades to newer ITX versions.
  • Participate in solution design sessions, impact analysis, and estimation activities.
  • Provide strong expertise in the Healthcare Payer domain and HIPAA EDI transactions.

Mandatory Skills:

  • IBM ITX – 8 years and above
  • IBM Sterling Integrator
  • Deep understanding of EDI X12 standards and transactions (837, 835, 834, 820, 270/271, 276/277).
  • Healthcare Payer domain expertise.
  • HIPAA compliance knowledge.
