Job Description
We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with expertise in Angular and Node.js to join our team. This is a net new build, not maintenance work. Engineers will help modernize a critical FINRA membership system. The role is true full stack, not front-end heavy or back-end heavy. AWS serverless experience (Lambda + API Gateway) is extremely important. A strong testing mindset is crucial due to FINRA’s SDLC 2.0 initiative.
Core Technical Requirements (Screening Focus)
Front End
- Angular (must-have)
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- Professional UI development experience
- Understanding of design patterns
Back End
- Node.js (must-have)
- AWS (Critical)
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda
Also helpful:
- AWS S3
- CloudFront
Database
- Any RDBMS experience is fine
Testing / Engineering Practices
Because Client is moving to SDLC 2.0, candidates should have:
- Strong testing mindset
- Shift-left testing philosophy
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (framework/tool agnostic)
What a Strong Candidate Looks Like
When sourcing, prioritize candidates who have:
- Senior full stack development experience (Angular + Node.js)
- Hands-on development using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Experience building modern cloud-native applications
- Strong understanding of UI architecture and backend services
- Experience working in structured SDLC environments with strong testing practices
- Ability to discuss design patterns and architecture decisions

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
