Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our client’s team for an onsite contract position in Sunrise, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java backend development, experience with cloud technologies, and a proven ability to work in a hybrid model.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
- Participate in the design and development of systems and application programs.
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
- Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot problems in test and production environments.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong core Java fundamentals (5+ years of experience).
- Experience building large-scale applications using Java backend programming.
- Experience working on Cloud (public or private) is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with software development methods and performing due diligence in all lifecycle stages of analysis, build, and testing.
- Ability to write good JUnits and extend code coverage.
- Experience with design and coding in Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, Junits, Mockito, Integration testing, Sonar Cube, log4j, Gradle & maven, Git, Unix & shell scripting, RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL databases, REST.
- Cloud-related experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm config, Dynatrace.
- Performance tuning for sub-second response applications.
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be local to Florida and able to attend F2F interviews at the client location.
- Must be able to work in a Hybrid model (3-4 days a week onsite in FL).
- Familiarity with H4EAD and OPT is a plus.

This role requires a candidate to be based out of Sunrise, FL, to attend F2F interviews at the client location. The position involves developing and maintaining large-scale Java applications, with a strong emphasis on backend programming and cloud integration. The candidate will be expected to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to testing and deployment. Experience with microservices, Kafka, and various database technologies is highly valued. The role also involves working with product owners to align technical requirements with business objectives and industry trends.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $114,400 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
