Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Pharma Commercial operations, specifically in Sales Forecasting. This role is crucial for defining and driving the vision, roadmap, and successful delivery of our Sales Forecasting capabilities and associated commercial insights. You will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, including brand strategy, commercial strategy, sales operations, and market access teams, and our dedicated delivery teams (data engineering, analytics, reporting). Your expertise will be vital in translating complex forecasting needs into actionable, prioritized product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Sales Forecasting capabilities within the Pharma Commercial domain.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities related to sales forecasting and commercial insights.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items for agile development teams.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, strategic alignment, and technical feasibility.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development team, clarifying requirements and providing feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality product features that meet business objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in sales forecasting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the Sales Forecasting capabilities.
- Champion agile methodologies and best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Deep understanding of Pharma Commercial operations, including sales forecasting, commercial analytics, and reporting.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Life Sciences) or equivalent practical experience.
