Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow models to generate embedded software for generator set and automatic transfer switch controllers.
- Apply Model-Based Development (MBD) techniques to design moderately complex control algorithms.
- Create and maintain technical design documentation for design reviews.
- Perform performance simulations using mathematical models and engineering tools such as Matlab/Simulink and MathCAD.
- Simulate steady-state, dynamic, and transient operations of embedded control systems.
- Conduct product-level testing to validate system performance and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper implementation of control logic and system requirements.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Matlab / Simulink Model-Based Development.
- Hands-on experience building Stateflow models from written requirements.
- Experience with control algorithm development for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of mathematical modeling and engineering simulation tools.
- Experience with MathCAD or similar scientific/engineering tools.
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of electrical systems used in power generation.
- Knowledge of distributed and embedded power generation systems.
- Familiarity with centralized and islanded power system operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- 8+ Years of experience.
- Candidates with experience in Power Generation / Energy Systems / Electrical Power Systems domain will be highly preferred.
Special Requirements
Hybrid work model (Onsite at Shoreview office Tuesday-Thursday, occasional 5-day onsite). Candidates should be local to the Minneapolis area or willing to relocate. Domain experience in Power Generation / Energy Systems / Electrical Power Systems is highly preferred.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
