Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Network Specialist for a fully remote role, requiring candidates to be local to California. This position demands a strong background in network architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Access (SDA), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Candidates must possess active, valid certifications and be able to provide degree certificates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
- Manage and maintain Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Software Defined Access (SDA) solutions.
- Implement and manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control.
- Ensure network security through firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network performance and reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Must provide a copy of the degree.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in designing and implementing network architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
- Ten (10) plus years of proven experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Software Defined Access (SDA), and Cisco Identity Engine (ISE).
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers, Routers/Switches.
- Valid certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDE, PCNSE, NSE9, JNCDA, JNCDS-DC. Must provide copies of certifications.
- The candidate must provide proven experience by detailing specific examples from past roles that demonstrate ability to perform the required tasks and responsibilities of the network architect position. This could include descriptions of projects worked on, challenges overcome, and achievements accomplished.
