Job Overview

We are seeking highly experienced PeopleSoft HCM Functional Analysts with strong expertise in Payroll and Benefits to support a large-scale PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 environment. This role is fully functional (non-technical) and focuses on day-to-day payroll system operations, payline load support, troubleshooting, integrations, and HR payroll ticket resolution. Analysts will operate within a large, complex organization environment supporting 20,000+ employees.

This is a critical multi-year project requiring collaborative, detail-oriented professionals with deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll processes and benefits administration.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of PeopleSoft HCM functional experience (Payroll and Benefits focused).
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 in a functional analyst capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience working in large-scale environments (20,000+ employees).
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • PeopleSoft Payroll processes
    • Payline loads
    • Payroll audits and reconciliations
    • Benefits administration from a functional perspective
  • Ability to run SQL queries for data validation, research, and analysis.
  • Experience troubleshooting payroll issues with technical development teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in government, healthcare, or public-sector environments.
  • Familiarity with integrations to retirement systems, hospital systems, and third-party vendor software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex functional issues.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & System Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day payroll system management within PeopleSoft HCM v9.2.
  • Manage and validate payline loads, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and programmers to troubleshoot payroll-related system issues, identifying root causes and implementing functional solutions.
  • Perform payroll testing for enhancements, configuration updates, and regulatory changes.

Functional Analysis & Integration Support

  • Execute SQL queries to support data validation, research, integrations, and issue resolution.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors on integrations supporting:
    • Hospital systems
    • Retirement Board interfaces
    • General payroll and HR partner systems
  • Document functional requirements and support cross-system data flows and mapping.

System Maintenance & Ticket Management

  • Serve as primary functional support for the HR Payroll department.
  • Analyze, resolve, and close assigned tickets through the HR/Payroll ticketing system.
  • Maintain system configurations, validate data, and ensure ongoing stability of HCM modules.
  • Assist with regression testing, patch/maintenance cycle support, and configuration validation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with payroll operations, HR benefits teams, IT, and external vendors.
  • Participate in status meetings, troubleshooting sessions, and workflow improvement discussions.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on PeopleSoft HCM Payroll & Benefits best practices.

Special Requirements

Need California Candidates only. Interview process: Teams Interview. Onsite for live scan/fingerprinting. LiveScan/Finger Printing: All candidates are required to complete their LiveScan/ fingerprinting in San Bernardino County. Out of state or out of county LiveScan results will not be permitted. Must have LinkedIn profile. Possibility of a hybrid schedule after completing 2 months.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: San Bernardino, CA
