Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Java Technical Architect with 15+ years of related IT experience, including designing and deploying enterprise-level business or technical applications. The role requires a strong command of distributed and cloud technologies, with expertise in their integration and configuration. The Technical Lead will be responsible for hands-on work with low-level designs, feature development, and overseeing delivery, potentially across multiple workstreams, ensuring adherence to all engineering standards. This position involves managing the implementation across the full project lifecycle, from gathering requirements to technical specifications and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and be hands-on with low-level designs, feature development, and overseeing delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure all engineering standards are applied and adhered to.
- Manage the implementation across the full project lifecycle, from gathering and interpreting requirements into technical designs.
- Create technical specifications and lead the change through development, testing, and deployment phases.
- Demonstrate working knowledge across a broad range of application and engineering patterns, tools, and frameworks.
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage a team of developers within their own pod.
- Mentor junior staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from a College of Engineering and Technology.
- Minimum of 15 years of related IT experience, designing and deploying enterprise-level business or technical applications.
- Working experience and expertise in distributed and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), Containerization (Kubernetes/OpenShift), Microservices, Kafka, Java/JavaScript, Quarkus/Spring frameworks.
- Experience with distributed databases (Postgres/Yugabtye/RDS/Aurora) and API gateways (Apigee/Mulesoft/etc.).
- Proficiency in UI technologies (Angular JS/React/HTML/HTMX/CSS3) and DevOps (CI/CD).
- Experience with XML/JSON, Mobile and Application Middleware (ESB/Datapower), PhoneGap/IOS/Android SDKs.
- Working experiences with microservices, mobile and web app security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps.
- Working knowledge of cryptography, key management, and security solutions on both mobile and server-side, including PKI, SSL, RSA, authentication, encryption, and digital signatures.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies such as rules, AI, and Machine Learning.
- Hands-on experience using at least one of the following coding tools: Github Copilot/Cursor/Kiro/WindSurf/Claude Code.
- Strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, methodologies, and functional areas in an IT organization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in both agile/scrum and waterfall life cycle application development.
