Job Description: Data Modeler

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our team for a 6+ month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database design, and experience with modern data warehousing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements.
  • Create and maintain database schemas, data dictionaries, and data flow diagrams.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all data platforms.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Work with semi-structured data, including JSON, and implement appropriate modeling techniques.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions, particularly using Snowflake.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on data modeling designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data modeling and data warehousing.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in data modeling and database design.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Experience working with JSON scripting and semi-structured data.
  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Owners.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is an onsite position located in Westlake, CA or Carrolton, TX.
  • The contract duration is 6+ months.
  • Maximum rate is $55/hr on C2C.

Salary: $55 – $55 per year
