Job Title: Lead Software Engineer (Advisor Data Platform)
This is a highly hands-on Lead Software Engineer role supporting LPL’s Advisor / Reference Data Platform, a critical system that distributes data across the enterprise. The team currently supports ~35 consumers and is scaling to 100+, making this a high-visibility, high-impact platform. The role is ~70% backend / 30% frontend (nice-to-have), with a strong emphasis on building APIs, data pipelines, and scalable services.
Team & Environment:
- Team size: ~8-10 members (Developers, QA, Scrum Master, BA/PO)
- Agile environment with standard ceremonies and sprint cycles
- Heavy emphasis on communication and stakeholder interaction
- Fast-paced environment with multiple active projects (especially acquisitions)

Interview Process:
- 1 round only
- Focus on: Technical discussions – Real-world use cases, Problem-solving (may include whiteboarding / notepad-style walkthroughs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain API-driven services and data platforms that distribute data to multiple internal consumers.
- Develop event-driven architectures (Kafka) and scalable backend systems.
- Contribute to UI development (Angular preferred, not required).
- Support migration of legacy systems to AWS cloud environments.
- Work across multiple concurrent initiatives, including acquisition-related projects.
- Participate in Agile delivery (2-week sprints, PI planning, full SDLC).
- Collaborate heavily with stakeholders and internal data consumers.
- Act as a hands-on technical lead, mentoring junior developers while actively coding.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong .NET / C# backend development (non-negotiable).
- Hands-on AWS experience (required): Lambda, Glue (basic knowledge expected), General cloud architecture understanding.
- Experience building APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong GitHub-based development and deployment workflows.
- Proven hands-on coding ability (not just architecture/design).
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Kafka / event-driven architecture experience.
- Angular (UI development).
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Python (secondary skill).
- Experience using AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot preferred, Cursor a plus).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
