Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Lab Administrator to join our team. This role is 100% onsite and requires local candidates. The primary responsibilities include the physical setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers and network equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, and basic networking principles. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our lab infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rack, Build, cable, configure, and provision Servers.
- Rack, Cable, and Deploy Cisco layer 2 networking equipment.
- Troubleshoot, test, and perform quality assurance on Server hardware.
- Professionally resolve hardware issues via trouble ticket system.
- Comfortable lifting weights up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long hours, including on ladders.
- Ready to travel on an as-needed basis.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Operating System Installation: Windows Server, Linux, Unix.
- Cabling Knowledge: Beyond basic dressing or running cables, possess a confident understanding of port mapping and the differences/purposes behind various cable types.
- Hardware Troubleshooting: Understanding of basic hardware troubleshooting and applying logical methods for resolution.
- Networking: Experience with Cisco Layer 2 networking equipment (rack, cable, deploy) is a plus.
- RAID levels experience is a plus.
- Web Server and Database installation experience is a plus.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be willing to learn quickly, multitask, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
- This is an onsite role located in Santa Clara, CA.
- Local candidates are strongly preferred.
- The duration is approximately 6 months.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year (Estimated)
