Job Title: Splunk Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Splunk Consultant to join our team in Boston, MA. This is a long-term contract position requiring 5 days onsite.

Job Summary:

• Primary Skills: Demonstrated experience with logging and monitoring on the Splunk platform. Proven experience in developing dashboards, reports, and correlating log data. Demonstrated experience in operationalizing the platform, including SOPs, triage, and incident remediation.
• Secondary Skills: Strong communication skills. Experience in the use case development lifecycle. Experience with project work and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage Splunk solutions for logging and monitoring.
• Develop custom dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and insights.
• Configure and maintain Splunk forwarders, indexers, and search heads.
• Perform log data correlation and analysis to identify security threats and operational issues.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Splunk operations.
• Participate in incident response and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement use cases.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables related to Splunk implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end-users.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Splunk Consultant or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Splunk architecture and functionalities.
• Experience with Splunk dashboard development and reporting.
• Familiarity with log data analysis and correlation techniques.
• Experience with Splunk operationalization, including SOPs and incident management.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in project management and delivery is a plus.
