Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow SAM Pro Consultant with strong expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM) Professional, including Service Catalog, Entitlements, and License Management modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing SAM Pro capabilities within the ServiceNow platform to ensure software compliance, license optimization, and asset visibility across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and manage SAM Pro modules within ServiceNow.
- Configure and manage Software Entitlements, License Models, and Software Asset Lifecycle.
- Manage software license compliance and optimize software usage across the enterprise.
- Configure software models, entitlements, normalization, and reconciliation processes.
- Work with Software Discovery and Inventory data sources to maintain accurate asset records.
- Configure software license metrics (per device, per user, subscription-based, etc.).
- Integrate SAM Pro with discovery tools and other ITSM modules.
- Develop custom workflows, reports, and dashboards for software asset tracking and compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement, IT operations, and compliance teams to manage software contracts and entitlements.
- Perform software license reconciliation and audit readiness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software asset data and licensing.
- Provide recommendations for license optimization and cost reduction.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro implementation and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with: Software Entitlements, Software License Management, Software Models & Discovery Models, License Reconciliation, Normalization and Content Library.
- Experience working with software asset lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.).
- Experience integrating SAM with discovery tools and CMDB.
- Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes.
- Experience with ServiceNow workflows, business rules, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating SAM Pro with ITSM processes in ServiceNow ITSM.
- Knowledge of Discovery and CMDB within ServiceNow Discovery.
- Experience in software vendor licensing compliance and audits.
- ServiceNow SAM Pro Certification is mandatory.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
