Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced User Experience (UX) Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on building user-facing features and scalable applications using modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will specialize in Vue.js, Vuex/Pinia, JavaScript (ES6), and Laravel (PHP). You will be responsible for designing intuitive interfaces, creating reusable components, and modernizing legacy products. This position requires a strong advocate for user focus across the organization, communicating the value and principles of user-centered design, including web accessibility, site performance, and UX best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-facing features using Vue.js and related technologies.
- Create reusable components and ensure a high standard of code quality.
- Modernize legacy products with modern technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with development teams, participate in code reviews, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles, including web accessibility and site performance.
- Work with public and private clouds such as Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and deliver reliable performance.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in User Experience (UX) engineering.
- Proficiency in Vue.js, Vuex/Pinia, JavaScript (ES6).
- Experience with Laravel (PHP) for backend development.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3.
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Experience with cloud platforms like Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in designing intuitive interfaces and creating reusable components.
- Focus on code quality, performance, and delivering reliable solutions.
Employment Details
- Location: Omaha, NE or Remote
- Employment Type: C2C Contract
- Duration: 6 months
Special Requirements
Remote option available. Minimum 10 years experience required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $61 – $75 per year
