Job Description: FPGA Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated FPGA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire FPGA design lifecycle, from requirements analysis and RTL coding to simulation, implementation, and hardware bring-up. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge hardware development.

Responsibilities:

  • Documents and analyzes design requirements for implementation.
  • Performs RTL coding, simulation, and implementation.
  • Handles pin assignment based on hardware design specifications.
  • Maintains up-to-date hardware/software interface documents.
  • Develops interface and control logics for serial buses (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Develops control algorithms for motor driver circuits.
  • Develops control algorithms for analog front-end circuits.
  • Conducts hardware bring-up and troubleshooting.
  • Supports firmware and system integration and testing.
  • Applies risk, failure analysis, and root cause analysis as required within the engineering discipline.
  • Ensures all design activities and documents meet regulatory and QMS requirements.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient with FPGA design and workflow, familiar with mainstream FPGAs and their development tools.
  • Strong RTL coding practices, familiar with both VHDL and Verilog.
  • Familiar with embedded interface protocols development (I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Sufficient knowledge of electronics principles and circuits design, familiar with schematics design tools.
  • Proficient with lab instruments for measurement and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates high initiative and collaboration, is self-motivated, and possesses the ability to act independently on technical matters.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
