Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Technical Lead to drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions within our S/4 HANA and SAP BTP landscape. This role is crucial for ensuring adherence to best practices and contributing to the overall architectural design of our SAP solutions. You will leverage deep expertise in modern ABAP development techniques with Clean Core principles, including OData, AMDP, CDS views, and the RAP/CAP programming models, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities.
  • Develop and maintain ABAP code within the S/4 HANA / BTP environment, utilizing modern ABAP techniques adhering to Clean Core principles and Ford Development standards.
  • Design and implement custom solutions to meet specific business requirements, ensuring seamless integration with standard SAP functionality.
  • Optimize ABAP code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Leverage SAP BTP to develop and deploy cloud-native ABAP applications, utilizing the RAP and CAP programming models.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation for ABAP development projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex ABAP-related issues within the S/4 HANA and SAP BTP environments.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to avoid future issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with SAP ABAP 7.5.
  • Experience building RAP or CAP Applications.
  • Experience in Clean Core Extensibility development.
  • Deep expertise in OData, CDS, AMDP, Adobe forms, Workflow, and Integrations.
  • Solid understanding of SAP S/4 HANA architecture and functionality.
  • Experience with SAP development tools such as Eclipse-based ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
  • Experience in SAP Activate methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in the Automotive / Manufacturing industry is a plus.
