Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician/Administrator with hands-on experience in server hardware troubleshooting, installation, and network support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks including rack and stack, hardware break-fix, server deployment, and firmware upgrades across enterprise server environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Rack, stack, cable, install, and deinstall servers, switches, and storage devices.
- Troubleshoot server hardware issues, including CPU, DIMM, motherboard, NIC, and HBA cards.
- Perform break-fix maintenance on Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Cisco servers.
- Configure iDRAC and network settings for new servers.
- Install and upgrade VMware ESXi.
- Perform BIOS and firmware upgrades, including network card firmware.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and DHCP issues.
- Maintain asset inventory and configuration documentation.
- Respond to service tickets and provide technical support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting and installation.
- Experience with network support and configuration.
- Familiarity with rack and stack procedures.
- Experience with hardware break-fix.
- Proficiency in server deployment and firmware upgrades.
- Experience with enterprise server environments.
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi installation and upgrades.
- Understanding of network connectivity and DHCP troubleshooting.
- Ability to maintain asset inventory and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
