Job Overview
This role is critical to a multi-year modernization initiative aimed at transitioning from a monolithic system supporting 14 business functions to a modern platform and system architecture. The Senior Business Analyst will be instrumental in this effort, providing essential business analysis, requirements oversight, and coordination across various vendors and project teams.
Mandatory Requirements
- Candidates must possess hands-on experience with an MMIS modernization project specifically for a State client.
- Direct MMIS modernization experience is a strict requirement.
- Experience with at least one of the following programs is mandatory: EPSDT, TPL, MAR/MER.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive business and requirements oversight for the MMIS modernization program.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple vendors and cross-functional teams throughout the program lifecycle.
- Review and approve or provide feedback on program, project, and software artifacts developed by vendors.
- Support contract monitoring for development, configuration, and operational activities.
- Adhere to established program governance processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with executives, managers, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment and progress.
- Perform essential project management support tasks, including:
- Documentation creation
- Meeting scheduling
- Meeting minutes preparation
- Status reporting
- Issue and action item tracking
- Support CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) reporting and certification processes.
- Maintain project assets, communications, and deliverable tracking systems.
- Work proficiently within multiple project methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
- 3+ years of experience in business process modeling and management.
- 5+ years of experience with MMIS systems or domain knowledge in Medicare, Medicaid, or major healthcare payers.
- 2+ years of experience working within large multi-vendor/multi-contractor environments.
- Experience leading centralized or matrixed teams.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and project management processes.

Special Requirements
Must be able to be onsite from Day 1. Virtual interviews for non-local candidates, in-person interviews may be required for local candidates. Candidates must have hands-on experience working on an MMIS modernization project with a State client. Experience with EPSDT, TPL, MAR/MER required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $60,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Montgomery, AL
