About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Data Engineer to join our team. This role involves optimizing data extract scripts, building and managing efficient ETL pipelines, and working with various data technologies. You will collaborate with clients and implementation teams to understand data distribution requirements and perform data analysis and mapping.
- Optimize the performance of data extract scripts.
- Build and manage efficient ETL pipelines using Databricks workflows or other orchestration frameworks.
- Work with both structured and semi-structured data, processing it using PySpark.
- Utilize fundamental AWS services (S3, SQS) or similar cloud services.
- Implement Terraform and GitLab CI/CD for infrastructure and deployment.
- Perform query tuning and performance optimization in SQL and/or SparkSQL.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
- Experience with Spark SQL.
- Proficiency in AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Experience working for a cloud-based data services provider to large healthcare clients.
- Experience with FHIR standards.
- Collaborate with clients and implementation teams to understand data distribution requirements.
- Perform data analysis and data mapping to produce client output.
- Build data distribution extracts and scripts.
Required Skills:
- Proficient with Python and SQL.
- Experience with ETL pipeline development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Spark and Spark SQL.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards (FHIR).
- Experience with Terraform and CI/CD practices.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
