Job Title: AI Lead (Healthcare | Clinical | Lifesciences Domain)
We are looking for a highly experienced AI Lead with a strong background in the Healthcare, Clinical, or Lifesciences domain. This is a remote position requiring hands-on expertise in Generative AI, Python, AWS, and Databricks to build and productionize AI applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify high-leverage use cases within Data Science operations, including technical knowledge retrieval, investigation support, documentation acceleration, operational insights, exception triage, and capacity/coordination decision support.
- Build prototypes and deliver Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) using AWS/Databricks/Dataiku/OpenAI, integrating operational data and documents into usable workflows.
- Assess data availability and quality, define data requirements, and influence data acquisition strategies (standard sources, access patterns, reusable pipelines).
- Own the capability roadmap, defining milestones, dependencies, and impact metrics.
- Balance quick wins with foundational elements, delivering immediate value while shaping scalable patterns for the enterprise platform.
- Develop a clear AI vision and a staged transition plan from Proofs of Concept (POCs) to reusable capabilities and scaled delivery.
- Drive ChatGPT adoption by building prompt libraries, playbooks, and training materials tied to real Data Science work, measuring usage and outcomes.
- Stay current with AI advancements and apply them responsibly to practical, controlled, high-impact solutions suitable for client environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in AI/ML.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial services/operations or adjacent clinical operations workflows, with the ability to translate work into deployable AI solutions.
- Hands-on capability in building production-minded prototypes using Python/SQL, AWS, Databricks, and/or Dataiku, and OpenAI.
- Applied Generative AI experience, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), evaluation, guardrails, workflow integration, and adoption enablement.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence as a senior individual contributor.
- Demonstrated ability to balance immediate business outcomes with long-term scalable capability building.
- Mandatory Skills: GenAI, Python, AWS, Databricks, Experience of Productionizing applications, Good Communication.
Good to Have Skills:
- Dataiku
- Experience working with privacy/security constraints and controlled documents in clinical contexts.
- Experience supporting globally distributed operational teams.
- Practical GxP awareness and experience operating with controlled documents/data access.
