Job Description:
The Cloud Architect will oversee and guide the technical implementation of a new Fiscal Agent Services module, as part of the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) system. This role ensures that solutions align with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) guidelines, MITA maturity goals, interoperability standards, and federal modularity requirements. The architect will lead architectural reviews, assess solution implementation, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and technical policies. They will evaluate system integration needs across modules such as Eligibility and Enrollment, Provider Services, ThirdParty Liability, Pharmacy, and Data Warehousing. Additionally, the architect will provide architectural guidance for system interfaces, data exchange standards, APIs, security models, and cloud adoption strategies. Key responsibilities include developing architectural artifacts such as logical and physical diagrams, data flow documentation, integration patterns, and technical roadmaps. Collaboration with cybersecurity teams is essential to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, state security policies, and other applicable controls. The role involves participation in governance processes, reviewing change requests, and ensuring solutions are sustainable and maintainable. This position also requires providing leadership and guidance to project teams, business analysts, developers, and external partners throughout the solution lifecycle.

- Considerable knowledge of databases, ETL tools, relational databases, SharePoint, X12, and legacy programming: Highly desired, 10 Years
- Knowledge of enterprise integration, service oriented architecture, APIs, cloud computing, ETL and modular system design: Highly desired, 10 Years
- Prior work with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) or Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES): Highly desired, 8 Years
- Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, or equivalent: Highly desired, 8 Years
- Experience in state government, public sector consulting, or large enterprise architecture roles: Nice to have, 8 Years

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
