Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled ScienceLogic (SL1) SME / Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer to join our team for a fully onsite position in West Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the ScienceLogic (SL1) platform, administration, and various monitoring solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of SL1 architecture, on-prem setup, configuration, upgrades, and power pack management. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring of our infrastructure, including servers, databases, network devices, and virtualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the ScienceLogic (SL1) platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform on-prem setup, configuration, upgrades, and power pack management for SL1.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions using protocols such as SNMP, WMI, SSH, PowerShell, APIs, and JDBC.
- Monitor infrastructure components including Windows, Linux, AIX servers, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), and network devices.
- Monitor virtualization platforms (VMware, vCenter), storage systems, and cloud environments.
- Integrate SL1 with ServiceNow, manage events, and ensure CMDB synchronization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting to streamline monitoring tasks.
- Configure collectors, dynamic applications, custom monitoring solutions, and alert policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to monitoring platform performance, device onboarding, and alert optimization.
- Support large-scale enterprise monitoring implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of monitoring systems.
- Provide excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ScienceLogic (SL1) platform administration and monitoring solutions.
- Strong expertise in SL1 architecture, on-prem setup, configuration, upgrades, and power pack management.
- Experience with monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, SSH, PowerShell, APIs, JDBC.
- Solid knowledge of infrastructure monitoring including Windows, Linux, AIX servers, databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2), and network devices.
- Experience monitoring virtualization platforms (VMware, vCenter), storage systems, and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow integration, Event Management, and CMDB synchronization.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
- Ability to configure collectors, dynamic applications, custom monitoring solutions, and alert policies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for monitoring platform performance, device onboarding, and alert optimization.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise monitoring implementations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year (Estimated)
