Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role involves developing and updating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts using E3S. You will be responsible for designing cables and harnesses, including connector selection, wire sizing, and routing. Additionally, you will create fabrication-ready electrical documents such as cable charts, wire lists, and build instructions. Support for controller build activities, including wiring, routing, termination, testing, and validation, is also a key part of this role. Collaboration with mechanical teams to ensure proper electromechanical integration is essential. You will ensure all electrical designs meet industry standards, grounding rules, and safety norms. Troubleshooting wiring issues during prototype or production builds and maintaining accurate revision control and documentation within PLMERP systems are also required. Support for manufacturing teams by addressing design queries and implementing improvements will be expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design cables and harnesses, including connector selection, wire sizing, and routing.
  • Create fabrication-ready electrical documents such as cable charts, wire lists, and build instructions.
  • Support controller build activities including wiring, routing, termination, testing, and validation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure proper electromechanical integration.
  • Ensure all electrical designs meet industry standards, grounding rules, and safety norms.
  • Troubleshoot wiring issues during prototype or production builds.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in E3S: Plant Design Engineering – Electrical.
  • Experience with cable and harness design.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes and documentation.
  • Familiarity with controller build activities and testing.
  • Strong collaboration skills with mechanical engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, grounding rules, and safety norms.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with PLMERP systems for revision control and documentation.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $57 – $58 per year

Location: Santa Clara, CA
