Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator to manage and migrate our Tableau server environment. This role involves planning, executing, and supporting the migration of Tableau servers to a new data center, ensuring minimal disruption to development and production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Tableau server architecture, migration strategies, and best practices for maintaining a robust BI environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Devise a comprehensive plan for building new Tableau servers in a new data center, aiming to retain legacy server names with minimal impact on development and production environments.
- Set up and configure one Non-Production Server.
- Establish and configure one Production Cluster consisting of 5 Servers.
- Document all server details, migration plans, and timelines meticulously.
- Execute the migration of the non-production server, providing necessary support and making adjustments as required.
- Execute the migration of the production server, providing necessary support and making adjustments as required.
- Ensure the stability and performance of the Tableau environment post-migration.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the Tableau environment meets organizational requirements.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of the Tableau server infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Monitor server performance and proactively address any issues.
- Provide training and support to users on Tableau functionalities and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator.
- Experience with Tableau server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of server migration strategies and execution.
- Experience in setting up and managing both non-production and production server environments.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is mandatory.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
