Job Description: Cloud Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily within the Azure environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of our cloud resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure, including configuration of virtual machines, databases, and networking components such as Firewalls and Application Gateways.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Helm charts or Terraform to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Implement security best practices, including Zero Trust principles, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, and RBAC to ensure compliance and protect cloud assets.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher to maintain high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Lead and execute cloud migration projects, moving on-premise workloads to Azure and establishing hybrid connectivity with ExpressRoute or VPN gateways.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams to design resilient, scalable solutions and support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Stay current with Azure platform updates and industry trends to recommend improvements and ensure best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with programming languages (such as Python, Java, or Go).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (like Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Good experience in designing, deploying, and managing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure, including configuration of virtual machines, databases, and networking components such as Firewalls and Application Gateways.
This is an onsite position located in Charlotte, NC, with an initial duration of 6 months. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to a dynamic and evolving cloud environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $60,000 – $120,000 per year (Estimated)
